Tanzania nabs 24 Burundian nationals for illegal entry

SINGIDA: The Immigration Department in Singida Region has apprehended 24 Burundian nationals for illegal entry into the country in the ongoing nationwide operation targeting individuals entering the country and working unlawfully.
The operation aims to control and eliminate the issue of illegal immigration in Tanzania.
According to a statement from the Immigration Department, the migrants were apprehended at the Misuna bus terminal, located within Singida Municipality.

The Singida Regional Immigration Officer, SACI Novat Dawson, confirmed the arrest and stated that further legal actions are being taken against the suspects. He added that such operations will continue to ensure strict enforcement of immigration laws.
SACI Dawson also called on all citizens to continue cooperating with the Immigration Department by reporting any individuals suspected of being illegal immigrants in their communities. He emphasized that public cooperation is crucial in safeguarding national security.
