Power, energy expo set to open on Wednesday in Dar

DAR ES SALAAM: THE 9th Power & Energy Expo and the 9th Solar Expo Tanzania 2025 will take place from Wednesday to Friday at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar es Salaam.
These events are the premier trade exhibitions for Tanzania’s energy sector, providing an essential platform for industry professionals across the entire value chain, from power generation, transmission and distribution to renewable energy and solar technologies.
According to coordinator of the event from Power & Energy Africa, Mr Benny Mosha, the expos will be officially opened by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Engineer Felchesmi Mramba.
The inauguration will be attended by ambassadors, delegates, dignitaries from various countries and heads of industry associations within the power and energy sector.
As the only regional trade event showcasing the widest range of products, equipment and machinery for East Africa’s energy industry, the 2025 edition will feature over 100 exhibitors from more than 18 countries.

He said the exhibitors will present the latest innovations in energy generation, transmission, distribution, solar technology, energy storage and renewable energy solutions. Countries participating prominently include Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Serbia, China, India, Türkiye, Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Japan and others, demonstrating the event’s global reach.
He said the expos are supported by key national organisations such as Corporate Africa, the Tanzania Energy Association (TEA), the National Construction Council (NCD), TANTRADE and the Tanzania Investment Centre (TISEZA).
Their involvement underscores the event’s vital role in advancing Tanzania’s energy goals. He said the 9th Power & Energy Expo and 9th Solar Expo Tanzania 2025 offer a unique opportunity for attendees to connect with industry leaders, discover new business opportunities and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies shaping the future of the energy sector.
