Geita braces for the 8th Mining Technology Exhibition

GEITA: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa is scheduled to grace the official opening of the 8th National Mining Technology Exhibition in an epic ceremony to be held tomorrow at the Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan Grounds, Bombambili, in Geita Municipality.

Speaking today, the Geita Regional Mining Officer, Samwel Shoo, said the Mining Commission is participating in the exhibition for the eighth consecutive year and has prepared educational services for all mining stakeholders who will visit its pavilions. The education will focus on modern technologies for mineral exploration, extraction, and processing.

“This is an important season that brings together miners, processors, traders, and other stakeholders in the mining sector to exchange knowledge and learn new techniques. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the mining sector and other social and economic sectors,” he said.

He added that it is a chance for small, medium, and large-scale miners as well as investors to learn about various technologies applied in the mining sector.

“There is a pavilion for the Ministry of Minerals and its institutions, including the Mining Commission. It is important for Tanzanians interested in investing to visit these pavilions to gain in-depth knowledge about the entire mining value chain,” he emphasized.

This year, the exhibition carries the theme: “Growth of the mining sector is a result of the use of proper technology and good leadership, participate in the 2025 General Elections.”
