56-year-old nabbed over lover’s death

KAGERA: POLICE in Kagera Region are holding a 56-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing his girlfriend.

Regional Police Commander, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Blasius Chatanda, identified the suspect as Jackson Alexander, a resident of Anyama Street in Kibeta Ward, Bukoba Municipality.

He said the incident occurred on August 5th this year, when Alexander allegedly stabbed his lover, Dorothea Adolf (40), in the right breast with a sharp object.

“Preliminary investigations show that a misunderstanding between the two led to the incident. The suspect will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete,” SACP Chatanda said.
