Manara’s councillorship campaign off to a flying start

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Chama cha Mapinduzi(CCM) councillorship candidate for Kariakoo Ward in Dar es Salaam, Haji Manara, is expected to officially launch his election campaign tomorrow, September 11, 2025, ahead of the General Election scheduled for October 29, 2025.

Speaking to Daily News Digital, Manara revealed that the guest of honour at the campaign launch event will be the CCM Dar es Salaam Regional Chairman, Abbas Mtemvu.

He confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed and promised a campaign launch that will make history in the ward.

“CCM members, residents of Kariakoo, and Friends of Manara, let’s meet at the junction of Mkunguni and Nyamwezi streets at 11:00 AM. It will be a unique launch,” said Manara, emphasizing that the event will be exceptional due to the planning involved and the message he intends to deliver to the public.

Haji Manara, widely known for his significant contributions to the sports sector, particularly as a former head of communications for Tanzania’s football giants Simba and Yanga, is now seeking to serve the people in a political capacity as a ward councillor. Tomorrow’s launch marks a pivotal step in his political journey toward the October election.
