DAR ES SALAAM: TEAMS from Kenya and Tanzania are preparing for the Dar Leopards Annual Touch Rugby Tournament, scheduled for September 13, 2025, at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club in the City.
Organised by the Dar Leopards Rugby Club, the tournament is one of Tanzania’s leading social sporting events.
The event will feature teams from across the country and neighbouring Kenya, with a focus on inclusivity, community engagement and the development of grassroots rugby.
Speaking to the ‘Sunday News’ in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the club’s Social Secretary, Johannah Tess, said preparations are in full swing.
“This year’s tournament places a strong emphasis on inclusivity and grassroots development,” Tess said.

“With the support of the French Embassy in Dar es Salaam, several development teams will travel to compete, a meaningful opportunity for regional talent to showcase their skills.”
