Over 20m people transact digitally through Mixx by Yas

DAR ES SALAAM: MORE than 20 million Tanzanians now transact digitally each month through Mixx by Yas, which facilitates over 6tri/- in monthly financial activity, a major milestone in its growing impact on Tanzania’s financial landscape.

With this initiative, Mixx by Yas is not only expanding access to financial services but also accelerating the country’s shift toward a cashless, tech-driven economy.

The Chief Executive Officer at Mixx by Yas Ms Angelica Pesha said in Dar es Salaam yesterday at the launch of “Kila hatua Mixx’ that the surge in digital transactions boosts transparency, cuts costs, supports small businesses and drives inclusive growth especially for women, youths and rural communities.

“The rise in digital transactions driven by Mixx by Yas is transforming the economy by promoting transparency, reducing costs and fostering inclusive growth for underserved communities,” she said.

Ultimately, the platform is helping build a more connected and financially empowered Tanzania. She said financial service agencies indirectly employ over 200,000 agents nationwide.
