DAR ES SALAAM: MSICHANA Initiative has successfully conducted a Msichana Amani Club Bonanza, aimed at strengthening children’s understanding of their rights, promoting gender equality and equipping them with tools to protect themselves from gender based violence (GBV) in schools and communities.

Organised by Msichana Initiative under its Msichana Amani Club programme, the bonanza was part of sustained efforts to develop girls’ leadership, foster selfawareness and amplify their voices in the fight against abuse, exploitation and harmful cultural practices.

The programme combined educational and recreational activities, including team sports, debates on girls’ rights, poetry recitals, art displays and student talent exhibitions, all carrying messages of gender equality and child protection.

Children expressed gratitude for the training, saying it would help them in school, at home and in their communities.
