Tanzania cherishes NGOs’ contribution to socio-cultural development

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzanian government said it continues to recognizing and value the contribution of the Non-government organisations(NGOs) in promoting social and cultural development across Tanzanian regions.
Speaking at the 2025 Annual Conference of the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), the Tanzanian government said it values what the NGOs will continue to appreciate what they have been doing for the Tanzanians.
Speaking at the conference on behalf of the Tanzanian Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango, the Minister for Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups, Dr. Dorothy Gwajima, said the government acknowledges the importance of collaboration with these organizations in achieving the inclusive development agenda.

Dr. Gwajima highlighted that over the past five years, since the inception of this conference, the government has continued to work closely with non-governmental organizations, recognizing their positive contributions while also seeking solutions to various challenges they face to improve the environment for implementing their projects.
The conference focused on discussing and strengthening the partnership between the Government and non-governmental organizations, aiming to ensure that development policies and strategies are effectively implemented and reach the intended beneficiaries.
Through the discussions and resolutions of the conference, stakeholders have continued to engage meaningfully in bringing about impactful transformation in society and enhancing the overall well-being of citizens.
