Health workers trained on how to avert disasters

DODOMA: EMPLOYEES from the Ministry of Health have received training on preventing and responding to emergencies, with a special focus on fire safety.

The training was led by the Fire and Rescue Force at the Ministry’s headquarters in the Mtumba government city. The sessions covered different types of fire sources, extinguishing techniques, and prevention methods.

Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services, Paulo Magessa, highlighted the training’s importance, stating it enhances public servants’ ability to identify risks and use firefighting equipment.

“Staff need to take proactive steps before a situation escalates,” he said.

“They must understand the correct use of fire extinguishers, recognize fire signs, and know what actions to take,” he said.
