Firm commends govt for improved business climate

DAR ES SALAAM: Fuchs Lubricants Tanzania Limited has commended the government for creating a more business-friendly environment, saying the improved investment climate is driving growth and innovation across the country.
The company’s Finance Manager, Mr Taalib Shariff said in Dar es Salaam at the weekend that launch of new lubricant for motorcycles and bajaji that policy stability, infrastructure development, and pro-industry reforms have encouraged companies like Fuchs to expand their footprint and introduce high-quality products tailored to local needs.
“The government’s continued efforts to improve the business landscape have given companies like ours the confidence to invest, innovate and grow,” he said.
“We’re proud to be part of a market that values quality and is moving toward more sustainable and efficient mobility solutions.”he said.
In Tanzania, where motorcycles and bajaji play a critical role in daily transportation and income generation, the use of genuine lubricants is essential to maintaining engine health and vehicle reliability.

These vehicles often operate under demanding conditions — including long hours, heavy loads, and poor road infrastructure — making them especially vulnerable to engine wear and breakdowns.
High-quality lubricants reduce friction, control engine temperature, and protect against premature wear, ultimately extending the lifespan of the engine and lowering maintenance costs for riders and owners.
The widespread use of counterfeit or substandard oils, however, continues to pose a serious risk to both vehicle performance and rider safety.
Poor-quality lubricants can lead to overheating, reduced fuel efficiency, and even engine failure.
This not only affects the livelihoods of thousands who depend on motorcycles and bajaji but also increases the financial burden of frequent repairs.
Albert Ng’ingo, Regional Sales Supervisor, said by choosing certified, genuine lubricants like Titan Max 4T SL 20W50, riders can ensure better performance, improved fuel economy, and longer engine life — all of which are crucial in a sector that keeps much of Tanzania moving.
Adding: “This oil is not just another item on the shelf — it is a solution crafted for our market. It enables riders to spend more time working and less time at repair shops.”
Ng’ingo also highlighted the company’s wide network of partners and retailers across the country. “We are ensuring this quality product reaches even the remotest markets. Accessibility is key to impact,” he said.
