KIUT lead charge in Volleyball League

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Volleyball National League (TVNL) 2025 is heating up at Mwembeyanga courts in Dar es Salaam, with Kampala International University of Tanzania (KIUT) showing exceptional form in both the men and women categories. In the women’s standings as of Wednesday’s games, KIUT top the table with 10 points from five matches, despite suffering two losses.
Hot on their heels are Korosho Queens, who have secured nine points from four games, followed closely by Tanzania Prisons and Bandari, both on eight points.
Jeshi Stars remain in contention with seven points, while Notorious and JKT are struggling at the bottom, with the latter yet to record a win. In the men’s category, KIUT once again led Group A with 13 points after winning four out of five matches.

Tanzania Prisons are second with 12 points, while JKT and Jeshi Stars follow with 11 and 9 points respectively. Followed by Jeshi Stars – 9 pts (5 PL, 3W, 2L), Arusha Champion – 3 pts (4 PL, 1W, 3L), Mipango – 3 pts (4 PL, 1W, 3L) and at the bottom is Kigoma Port – 0 pts (4 PL, 0W, 4L).
In Group B, Genesis stand out as the only unbeaten team so far, collecting a perfect 14 points from five games. High Voltage and Bandari remain strong contenders with nine and eight points respectively.
Nyika – 7 pts (5 PL, 2W, 3L) is at 4th place, followed by IP Sports – 4 pts (5 PL, 1W, 4L) at 5th, Moro Warrios – 2 pts (4 PL, 1W, 3L) at sixth and Best Six – 1 pt (3 PL, 0W, 3L) is at bottom of the group.
