Tanzania seek fortune from ACTIF 2025

ST GEORGE’S: RESILIENCE, transformation, and strengthening investment partnership between Africa and the Caribbean herald the fourth Afri-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum, which was officially launched today, July 28, in Granada.

Tanzanian Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, who has already arrived in Granada’s capital, St. George’s, leads the Tanzanian envoys in the Afri-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF 2025), which has started today, July 28, and will climax on July 30, this year.

Majaliwa is attending the forum on behalf of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The forum, held at the Radisson Conference Center, brings together heads of state, investors, and business stakeholders from African nations and Caribbean islands.

The theme of this year’s forum is “Resilience and Transformation: Strengthening the economic partnership between Africa and the Caribbean in a time of global challenges.” The primary goal is to deepen economic collaboration, expand investment opportunities, and strengthen trade relations between the two regions.

The Prime Minister is expected to participate in the Heads of State and Government Dialogue, hold bilateral meetings with other national leaders, and engage with major investors as part of Tanzania’s ongoing efforts to attract international investment and build a modern, competitive economy.

Key topics on the forum’s agenda include the establishment of an Africa-Caribbean Free Trade Area, strengthening the Africa-Caribbean Business Council, promoting innovation and economic growth, and enhancing air and maritime transport connectivity between the two regions.

ACTIF 2025 is organized by the Government of the Republic of Grenada in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), a pan-African financial institution dedicated to promoting and financing the trade of goods and services within and beyond Africa.
