Vision 2025 credited for successful relocation of government headquarters
DODOMA: DODOMA Regional Commissioner Ms Rosemary Senyamule has hailed Vision 2025 for enabling key national transformations, including the successful relocation of government headquarters to the capital city.
Speaking during the launch of the longterm development blueprint at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre (JKCC) in Dodoma yesterday, Ms Senyamule praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her visionary and exemplary leadership in steering the vision process to completion.
She also commended the Head of State for her patriotism and determination in executing legacy projects such as the historic Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project (JNHPP) and the ongoing construction of government administrative city at Mtumba area, initiatives originally proposed as far back as 1973.
“This is a historic moment that demonstrates not only your extraordinary leadership but also your selfless commitment to the people. The benefits of this vision will greatly serve Tanzanians across generations,” she said.
The RC underlined the importance of strategic planning in effective execution, noting that a well thought-out plan contributes significantly to any initiative’s success. “A good plan contributes over 60 per cent to the success of any endeavour. This vision alone assures us of 60 per cent of implementation success.
The remaining 40 per cent will rely on the strength of execution, thanks to the solid groundwork you have laid,” she stressed.
“We pray that God surrounds you with capable people to support the implementation of this great vision. May this moment be remembered in the hearts of Tanzanians and preserved in the records of the nation’s history.”
Earlier, Permanent Secretary in the President’s Office (Planning and Investment), Dr Tausi Kida, described the launch as a landmark milestone for Tanzania.

Speaking outside the venue shortly before the unveiling of the document, Dr Kida explained that the extensive public consultation process for Vision 2050 was officially launched by President Samia on December 9, 2023.
“Since then, extensive work has been done. We managed to collect views from more than 1.174 million people across the country,” she said.
Dr Kida added that in addition to written submissions from citizens, the process involved a series of national and regional forums and dialogue platforms.
“We conducted national and regional symposiums where over 20,000 individuals contributed their insights. When you look at how inclusive the process was, it truly reflects the voice of the people,” she noted.
