Dewji, Davids chart Simba’s bold course for 2025/26

DAR ES SALAAM: HONORARY President of Simba SC Mohammed ‘MO’ Dewji has held pivotal highlevel talks with Head Coach Fadlu Davids, signalling the start of an ambitious roadmap for the 2025/26 season.
The strategic meeting, hailed by Dewji as “productive and encouraging,” reflects the club’s growing hunger for silverware after a season that blended remarkable achievements with hard-fought lessons.
The discussions come in the wake of Simba’s unforgettable run to the CAF Confederation Cup final, a milestone that underscored the club’s resilience and revival under Davids’ stewardship.
Taking to his official Instagram platform, Dewji shared heartfelt reflections on the meeting and commended Davids’ immediate impact since taking charge of the Msimbazi giants.
“I am pleased to have had a meaningful discussion with Coach Fadlu in his first season, where he led a new squad and technical bench all the way to the CAF Confederation Cup final,” Dewji wrote. Indeed, Davids’ debut season was nothing short of a renaissance.
Steering a team in transition, he managed to write history by guiding Simba to only their second continental final—a feat few predicted at the outset of the campaign.
“This season was all about building the team,” Dewji emphasised.
“Despite intense competition, we still managed to reach the final. That speaks volumes about the character and potential of this squad.”
