25,000 Mbeya Students reap benefits of innovative HEET project

MBEYA: THE Main Campus of Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) has greatly benefited from the implementation of the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project, with the university receiving newly constructed modern teaching and learning facilities.

The information was provided by Deputy Vice Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and Administration, Prof Zacharia Katambara, who stated that the new buildings include an academic block, workshops, laboratories, and a technology transfer building. All the buildings are equipped with infrastructure and facilities that meet the requirements of modern education and practical training.

Through this development, MUST can now accommodate up to 25,000 students at a time, delivering more efficient training and fostering innovation in an enhanced academic environment.

Prof Katambara added that the HEET Project continues to be a key pillar for MUST in achieving its mission of providing quality education, conducting advanced research, and serving the community through innovative technology.
