Rutenge made the confirmation today, April 11, 2025, in Dar es Salaam during the launch of the 2025 CSOs Week, which has drawn over 500 participants.

“CSOs Week has been held for six consecutive years and this is now the seventh year. The aim is to bring together stakeholders from the civil society sector to engage in various development dialogues concerning the future of our country, Tanzania.

On her part, Nesia Mahenge, the Country Director of CBM International and Chairperson of the Civil Society Committees, said the week aims to address challenges facing civil society organizations and explore solutions.

“CSOs fromthe Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar come together each year during this week to assess the work of non-governmental organizations and the development they have brought to our country.

“This year will be different. We are used to holding the event in October in Dodoma, but now it will be in Arusha due to community recommendations—we will not stick to just one region.
