10-man Prisons beat Simba SC 2-1
MOROGORO: Simba SC conceded their second defeat of the season after succumbing to a 2-1 loss against Tanzania Prisons.
The game at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro on Wednesday witnessed the Reds failing to make the most of the match.
A brace from Samson Mbangula, who scored in each half, gave Tanzania Prisons a two-goal lead.
However, in the 89th minute, Fabrice Ngoma pulled one goal back from a corner kick, but it was not enough to save the sinking ship.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Mussa Haji received a second yellow card in the 87th minute.
Simba remains third on the log with 36 points from 16 matches, while Tanzania Prisons is fourth courtesy of 27 points in 19 games.
