PSPTB releases exam results, warns against cheating
DODOMA: THE Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technical Board (PSPTB) has released the results of the 32nd Board professional examinations held in December last year, issuing a stern warning against examination malpractice.
Announcing the results in Dodoma on Friday, PSPTB Executive Director Godfred Mbanyi said a total of 1,291 candidates registered for the exams conducted on December 1, 2025, while 1,223 sat for the tests. He said 68 candidates missed the examinations for various reasons.
According to the results, 595 candidates (48.7 per cent) passed, while 589 candidates (48.2 per cent) will be required to sit for supplementary exams.
“In these examinations, 39 candidates (3.2 per cent) failed in all subjects at different levels and will be required to restart their studies,” Mr Mbanyi said.
Mr Mbanyi further said the Board nullified the results of two candidates at the CPSP level after they were caught with unauthorised materials suspected to be used for cheating.
“These candidates entered examination rooms with prohibited materials. The Board of Directors has directed the Registration and Disciplinary Committee to handle their cases in accordance with established regulations,” he said.
He noted that the candidates’ results have been withheld, and they will appear before the relevant committee as part of their right to be heard.
The PSPTB chief issued a strong warning to all procurement and supplies candidates to refrain from acts that violate examination rules and ethics.
“PSPTB will not hesitate to take stern action to uphold integrity within the procurement and supplies profession,” he stressed.

He said the penalties stipulated in the regulations include cancellation of all exam results, suspension for three sessions, fines, and even imprisonment depending on the severity of the offence.
“This is a profession that manages procurement processes in both the public and private sectors. When candidates display dishonesty during examinations, it raises serious concerns about the kind of professionals we are producing,” he added.

Mr Mbanyi also encouraged graduates to register for the Board’s professional examinations without fear and called on parents, sponsors and employers to support candidates by covering preparation and examination costs.
He said such support would help increase the number of qualified procurement and supplies professionals in the country.
