PM: Samia’s 4Rs philosophy foster unity, peace

ARUSHA: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa said yesterday that President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s 4Rs philosophy – Reconciliation, Resilience, Reforms and Rebuilding has played a significant role in promoting reconciliation and driving positive change among Tanzanians.

He said the 4Rs philosophy has been instrumental in fostering cooperation and peace in the country.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the crucial contributions of both religious and traditional leaders in advancing the nation’s development, highlighting that the government recognises and values their efforts.

Mr Majaliwa was speaking during the commemoration of Reconciliation Day (Maridhiano Day), held in Arusha, where he represented President Samia.

He said leaders have been working and crossing spiritual boundaries to touch the wellbeing and development of the community in various fields.

‘The government recognises and appreciates your significant contribution in achieving important national issues that unite all Tanzanians, including mobilising believers in various important campaigns for the nation. I urge you to continue offering this cooperation, as your voices hold great power in the community,” said Mr Majaliwa.

He urged the leaders to continue cooperating with the government in maintaining peace and ensure Tanzanians continue to participate in various development programmes.

Mr Majaliwa also asked the leaders to continue building and inculcating moral value in the country.

He said: “I strongly urge you to continue condemning all actions that are contrary to the morals of religion and the culture of Tanzanians.”

In another development, Mr majaliwa instructed Manyara Region Medical Officer (RMO) to facilitate staffing at the health centre built by this Community in the Simanjiro area.

On his part, the Chairman of the Reconciliation and Peace Association (JMAT) Dr Alhad Mussa Salum said that the community will continue to support the government in various activities, while calling on religious leaders to continue performing their work with the fear of God in order to build peace and resilience.

Former Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda said that the community has made a significant contribution in building peace, love and resilience among Tanzanians and urged the government to continue supporting the community.

For her part, the member of the JMAT and former Speaker, Anna Makinda called on political parties’ leaders to preach peace and stop engaging in politics that could divide Tanzanians and threaten peace, love and unity.
