Tanzania, Venezuela agree to cooperate in trade, investment, tourism.

KAMPALA: THE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Cosato Chumi, held talks with Venezuela’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for African Affairs, Yuri Pimentel, on the sidelines of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Meeting currently taking place in Kampala, Uganda.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various ways to strengthen cooperation between Tanzania and Venezuela, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and tourism.
Both sides expressed a strong commitment to enhancing these relations for the benefit of the citizens of both nations.

Additionally, Pimentel stated that Venezuela is in the final stages of completing internal procedures to officially open its embassy in Tanzania—a move expected to further solidify diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
The 19th NAM Ministerial Meeting began on October 13 and is scheduled to conclude on October 16, 2025. The gathering brings together leaders from member states to discuss key global issues and the role of the movement in promoting international cooperation and shared development.
