Zanzibar sees the 62nd anniversary of its glorious revolution at the Trade Fair

ZANZIBAR: THE government of Zanzibar said the ongoing Zanzibar International Trade Fair (ZITF) is part of the celebrations to mark the 62nd anniversary of the Isles’ glorious revolution.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, who visited the ongoing 12th Zanzibar International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026 at the Zanzibar Exhibition Centre in Dimani, said the trade fair is among the major events that cherish the revolution.

The exhibition, which began on December 29, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude on January 16, 2026.

“The Trade Fair is being held as part of the celebrations to mark the 62nd Anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution,” he said.

During his visit to the exhibition grounds, Ambassador Minister Kombo also toured the booth of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, where he was received by the Acting Director of the Zanzibar Office of Foreign Affairs, together with ministry staff based at the office.

The exhibition aims to showcase trade and investment opportunities both domestically and internationally.

Various government institutions from Zanzibar and Mainland Tanzania are participating in the exhibition, providing an opportunity to educate the public about the services and products offered and produced by these institutions.
