Vodacom launches special loyalty programme for freelancers

VODACOM Plc has launched a special incentive programme for its freelancers, whereby they will reward its top agents with generous prizes, including a full-paid trip to South Africa at the end of the year.

Speaking during launching of the programme, Vodacom Tanzania Plc Commercial Business Director, Ms Linda Riwa, stated that recognising the significant contribution of their agents and in a bid to encourage their performance the company decided to introduce a special incentive programme that will enable them earn various rewards based on their appraisals.

“We take pride in continuing to be the leading technology and communication company through digital innovation that benefits the Tanzanian community nationwide. Today, we are pleased to introduce our new programme called ‘Vodacom Stars’, which aims to benefit our registration freelancers as a way of expressing our gratitude for being part of the Vodacom family and empowering them economically, as Vodacom is more than just a network,” she said.

Ms Riwa announced that through this new programme for freelancers in Tanzania, agents will have the opportunity to win generous prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to South Africa sponsored by Vodacom Tanzania.

Other prizes include motorcycles, bicycles, music speakers, health insurance, gas cookers, televisions, mobile phones and mattresses.

To increase their chances of winning these prizes, they will need to demonstrate diligence by registering as many new customers as possible to join Vodacom’s Super Network.

In addition to winning trips and other prizes, she said these registration agents will continue to receive various bonuses such as cash and instant data bundles every time they achieve their daily targets, discounted prices on starter packs, as well as instant M-Pesa bonuses when newly connected customers purchase data bundles using M-Pesa.

The total value of all the prizes and bonuses is over 2bn/-.

Top-performing agents will be announced at different times and rewarded with various prizes, including cash rewards.

Vodacom Lake Zone Regional Manager of the company, Mr Ezekiel Nungwi said, “To ensure that our registration agents reach customers and deliver positive updates about Vodacom’s network, we will engage in various activities in different regions of the country.

“These activities include using vehicles with loudspeakers for promotion, visiting agents and business owners, as well as directly engaging with customers on the streets to educate them about our services and products and connect them so they can benefit from them.”

During these activities, customers will have an opportunity to meet the freelancers and learn more about the company’s service and product improvements as well as be connected to the Supa Network in Tanzania.

Mr Nungwi took the opportunity to urge customers and Tanzanians in general to get  prepared s to benefit from what Vodacom has prepared for them and also not to hesitate to listen to and follow agents who will be in different areas to serve them and deliver this good news.

On his part, one of the agents who attended the launch of the reward programme in Iringa, Mr Japhet Nyalusi said he was very pleased to see how Vodacom cares for its partners, and he looks forward to connecting many more new customers to win daily and monthly prizes.

He also added that going to South Africa would be like a dream come true for him, and he believes that by putting in more effort, he will be able to emerge as a winner.
