VODACOM Tanzania has launched a campaign aimed at offering reliable and quality digital innovative solutions to government, investors and enterprises to enhance efficiency of their operations.
Managing Director of Vodacom Tanzania, Philip Besiimire said at the ongoing 47th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) recently that, they had decided to bring business owners reliable and quality digital solutions to simplify their daily activities.
Mr Besiimire pointed out the continuous success of the famous ongoing Sabasaba that has attracted thousands of participants and visitors in Tanzania and across borders every year.
“TanTrade is doing great work for their continuous efforts to provide businesses with a platform to showcase and promote their products and services to thousands of visitors.
On her part, the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) Director General, Ms Latifa Khamis commended Vodacom innovative initiatives specifically in simplifying Tanzanians economic activities.
“I would like to applaud Vodacom for its innovative digital services that aim to equip Tanzania with the tools to cope with the digital world we are heading to,” she said.
She added, “I commend Vodacom for leveraging DITF exhibitions as an official platform for the launching event as there is a great opportunity to meet thousands of businesses that will benefit from Vodacom Business offering,”
She said Vodacom’s decision to support TanTrade by providing free connectivity for a year comes at the right time. This partnership will boost the authority facilitates its operations including several training and workshops for entrepreneurs which aim to empower SMEs with different capacity-building activities.
“In today’s world, digitalisation of different sectors is inevitable.
Free internet connectivity from Vodacom for a year will play a great deal in easing our operations and promoting businesses in general.
The internet is a crucial part in conduct training and workshops smoothly via digital platforms and reach thousands of SMEs across Tanzania,” she said.
In addition, the Head of Marketing and Enablement Vodacom Business at Vodacom Tanzania, Ms Aileen Meena explained further the several offerings from the Vodacom Business Unit as well as urging business owners at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds and Tanzanians in general to make well use of the opportunity.
