TVF opens nomination process
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Volleyball Federation (TVF) has officially launched the nomination process for candidates seeking top leadership positions, marking the start of preparations for its eagerly awaited General Election.
Confirming the development, TVF Election Committee Secretary In hard Mushongi said all logistical arrangements have been finalised, paving the way for a transparent and inclusive electoral process.
“According to the TVF Election Committee, nomination and submission forms are now available and will remain open until November 24, 2025,” Mushongi explained.
“The election itself is scheduled to take place on December 21 in Dodoma, where members will elect new leaders to serve a four-year term.”
Mushongi emphasised that the exercise officially kicks off the campaign season and called on volleyball stakeholders across the nation to take part actively.
“Today marks the start of form collection and submission. We call upon all individuals with a genuine vision for the growth of volleyball in Tanzania to step forward and participate,” he said.
“To promote wider participation, application forms have been uploaded to the federation’s official website, allowing candidates from all corners of the country to apply without the need to visit our offices physically.”
He further revealed that the positions open for contest include President, Vice-President and Board Members, with all payments to be made through the federation’s official bank account.

“Candidates are required to present proof of payment upon submitting their forms,” Mushongi noted.
“This process is designed to attract capable, visionary leaders who can accelerate the sport’s growth and strengthen volleyball structures nationwide.”
The Election Committee underscored that the federation’s electoral process is guided by principles of transparency, accountability and inclusivity.
“By publicly announcing timelines, procedures and nomination requirements, we are ensuring that every eligible stakeholder has a fair opportunity to participate,” Mushongi stated.
“Such openness not only enhances trust within the federation but also reinforces confidence among players, coaches and regional associations that decisions are made fairly and on merit.”
With the nomination window now open, the stage is set for what promises to be a decisive moment in shaping the future of Tanzanian volleyball leadership
