TSN grabs 3rd place at 49th DITF, eyes top spot

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA Standard Newspapers (TSN) Limited has secured third place in the Best Media Services category at the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), an achievement attributed to the company’s strong teamwork, creative approach and commitment to innovation.

TSN’s Public Relations and Documentation Officer, Nadhifa Omary, said on Monday the victory reflects the collective effort of the entire TSN team to deliver quality news content that is impactful, relevant and aligned with national priorities.

“This award is well deserved. It is a recognition of TSN’s creativity and significant contribution to informing and educating the public,” said Ms Omary. “We have consistently produced quality journalism across multiple platforms, including our print and digital media.” TSN publishes Daily News, HabariLeo and SpotiLeo, as well as operates vibrant digital platforms such as Daily News Digital, TSN E-Paper, YouTube, Facebook, X and Instagram all of which were showcased at this year’s exhibition.

The company was praised for its interactive booth, modern presentation style and consistent public engagement. Ms Omary expressed gratitude to TSN Managing Director Ms Asha Dachi, the management team, exhibition booth coordinators and all staff members who played a role in the company’s success at the fair.

“This award belongs to the whole TSN team,” she said.

“It is the result of tireless efforts to deliver trusted information to the public. This recognition will inspire us to further improve our services and reporting, in line with the needs of our communities.” Ms Omary said as Tanzania’s media industry continues to evolve, the organisation remains committed to delivering professional journalism, embracing digital innovation and promoting national unity through accurate and accessible information.

She added that TSN will use this momentum to introduce more creative and dynamic ideas in the next edition of the fair.

“We have learned and evaluated our performance this year. Next year, we plan to raise the bar and aim for first place,” she said confidently.

According to TanTrade and the judging panel, TSN was awarded third place in the Best Media Services category in recognition of its outstanding digital engagement and creative exhibition approach.

TSN effectively promoted the Sabasaba exhibitions both locally and internationally through its various platforms, successfully integrating print, digital and social media into a cohesive, audience-focused communication strategy.
