TISEZA intensifies efforts to promote Tanzanian investments  

BEIJING: TANZANIA and China continue to strengthen their cooperation in business and investment, with a major focus on coal mining, agriculture, solar energy, and laboratory equipment and tools.

THE Tanzania Economic Zones Development Authority (TISEZA) is the Tanzanian envoy to the Investment and Trade Forum between Tanzania and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) from Shaanxi Province, China.

The forum held at the East African Commercial and Logistics Center (EACLC) highlighted opportunities for cooperation in the sectors of Coal Mining, Agriculture, Solar Energy, as well as Laboratory Equipment and Tools.

Through this participation, TISEZA continues to strengthen efforts to encourage and attract investors by advertising various investment opportunities available in Tanzania.

This is among TISEZA’s 10 strategic goals to strengthen investment in the country

Describing the strategies, TISEZA’s Director General, Gilead Teri, said the strategies are Investment as a key pillar of national development, promoting growth opportunities in all sectors of society, ensuring that Tanzanians are the main beneficiaries of investment, and TISEZA is set up for Tanzanians more than foreigners.

Other things are providing support to investors including free land for industries and One Stop Centre services, Tanzania’s goals to become the number one economy in Central Africa by 2033, using economic transformation as an opportunity for growth, strengthening exports by increasing innovation and product quality, protecting and promoting improvements in the investment environment and promoting cooperation with all stakeholders in developing the investment sector
