Telecom company vows to enhance country’s connectivity, digital access

DAR ES SALAAM: IN efforts to enhance digital access and connectivity for Tanzanians from all walks of life, a telecom company, Airtel Tanzania has rolled out a range of special offers at its shops and different centres across the country in celebrating the SabaSaba season.
The annual SabaSaba period brings together families, students, entrepreneurs, and professionals, making it a strategic time for service providers to deepen engagement with customers. Airtel Tanzania’s campaign focuses on affordability, digital inclusion, and access to smart technology.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Airtel Tanzania’s Head of Public Relations, Mr Jackson Mmbando, said the mobile operator remains committed to ensuring Tanzanians remain connected and empowered through accessible products and services.
“We are helping people stay connected, productive and informed through the products and digital services available at our shops across Tanzania,” said Mr Mmbando adding: “Our focus is on providing value through tools that support online learning, entrepreneurship and communication.”
He added that Airtel’s offering during the SabaSaba season includes a range of digital tools and connectivity solutions suitable for families, students, and small businesses.
Among the items available at Airtel shops are smart devices including Itel and Infinix models designed with long battery life and quality camera performance to meet the needs of users across various income levels. Customers purchasing devices are also receiving instant access to bundled data packages, enabling them to begin using services such as browsing, calling, and social media immediately.
