TANZANIA Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has intensified its strategy to raise awareness on the industry’s regulations and guidelines to service providers and users by establishing a permanent pavilion at Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at the ongoing 47th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), the regulator’s acting head of communication and public relations, Mr Rolf Kibaja welcomed TCRA stakeholders, affirming the authority’s commitment to delivering unwavering services.
“This facility will serve as a hub for promoting awareness among communication services users and offering crucial regulatory guidance to our valued providers. Our presence at this prominent event underscores our commitment to fostering a transparent and fair communication landscape in Tanzania,” he added.
Explaining on the newly unveiled facility, Mr Kibaja said, it will serve as a hub for promoting awareness among communication services users and offering crucial regulatory guidance to our valued providers as he insisted TCRA presence at this prominent event underscores the authority’s commitment to fostering a transparent and fair communication landscape in Tanzania.
Mr Kibaja expressed gratitude for the support from stakeholders in the communications sector and emphasized TCRA’s dedication to fulfilling its mandate of regulating and overseeing communication services in the country.
He said TCRA was impressed by last year’s 46th edition of DITF when the authority had a temporary pavilion at Sabasaba ground, a reason why the authority has been convinced to establish the permanent facility.
“The establishment of the permanent pavilion marks a significant milestone for TCRA, as it will now be able to provide a more structured and accessible platform for engagement with both consumers and industry players.
Through their participation in the trade fair, TCRA aims to educate the public about their rights as communication services users and to keep providers informed about regulatory matters and industry standards,” he said.
