TBA ordered to effectively collect rent at Magomeni Kota

MINISTER for Works and Transport, Prof Makame Mbarawa has directed the Tanzania Building Agency (TBA) to ensure tenants at the newly built Magomeni Kota pay rent on time.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday when he visited the area to inspect the buildings located in Kinondoni District, Prof Mbarawa also urged the tenants to keep the building clean to make them continue looking neat.

“I call upon all tenants, including public servants to make sure that the buildings remain clean,” he said.

He also instructed the TBA to continue with the programme of building new houses that will accommodate families with large number of members, especially for public servants and others for commercial purposes.

On his part, TBA Chief Executive Director, architect Daud Kondoro said the construction of the Magomeni Kota project has set the best standards for government buildings.

He said the previous work done by the Tanzania Real Estate Agency was to formulate a master plan for the good use of land based on the needs of the area’s development.

On his part, the Kinondoni District Commissioner, Saad Mtambuli, expressed his gratitude to the government for the construction of the buildings in Kinondoni District.
