Ambassador Tembele, who is representing the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports, Prof Palamagamba Kabudi, is expected to address the Ministers’ Summit held in parallel with the CHANDI 2025 meeting.
The objectives of the CHANDI 2025 are to promote dialogue on the protection and promotion of cultural heritage amid complex global challenges, highlight best practices, case studies, and approaches that can strengthen policy frameworks at national and international levels, develop policy recommendations and collaborative frameworks, and to foster and strengthen cooperation among countries and other relevant stakeholders on cultural heritage and its related issues.
CHANDI 2025 emphasizes that culture can be a unifying and relevant force in responding to the challenges of the 21st century. Culture can be a medium to promote peace, stability, sustainable development, and foster human creativity, especially amidst increasing global uncertainty and complexity.
However, CHANDI 2025 is also a strategic momentum to bring together world leaders, policy makers, academics, artists, and cultural actors from various countries to discuss the future direction of culture in an increasingly interconnected and dynamically developing world.
The forum is a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences that can strengthen the role of culture in creating a harmonious, just, and peaceful world.
