TanTrade, Dubai Chamber forge partnership to enhance trade

DAR ES SALAAM: A DELEGATION from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce recently visited the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) to explore collaboration opportunities and bolster trade relations between Tanzania and Dubai.

The visit aimed to establish a robust foundation for bilateral cooperation and identify mutual benefits.

Key discussion points included investment opportunities, trade facilitation and the forthcoming Tanzania-Dubai Business Forum. In a meeting with TanTrade’s Director General, Ms Latifa Khamis, both parties demonstrated their commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses in both countries.

They discussed strategies to improve market access, address trade barriers and promote cross-border investments. A major highlight was the upcoming Tanzania-Dubai Business Forum, scheduled for October 2024.

This event will serve as a platform for entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers from both nations to network, exchange ideas and explore potential partnerships.

Ms Khamis assured the Dubai Chamber delegation of TanTrade’s full support in facilitating their business ventures in Tanzania. She emphasised the country’s favourable investment climate, abundant natural resources and strategic location.

The partnership between TanTrade and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce is anticipated to significantly contribute to the economic growth of both countries.

By fostering closer trade relations and encouraging investment, this collaboration aims to create new business opportunities and strengthen the bond between Tanzania and Dubai.
