Members of Tanzania Media Women’s Association (TAMWA) have unanimously elected Ms Joyce Shebe as the chairperson of the association.
Ms Joyce won the position during the association’s annual election that was conducted on Saturday in Dar es Salaam after garnering 57 per cent of all valid votes against Leila Sheikh, one of the founders of TAMWA who got only 43 per cent.
Ms Joyce will lead the Association for a second consecutive period with three years.
The association also got new board members including assistant Lecturer at Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCO), Marry Kafyome and Dr Kaanaeli Kaale from Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT).
