SIMBA DAY: Dar turns red and white

TANZANIA, Dar es Salaam Behold! It is Simba Day… hundreds of Simba members and fans continue to arrive at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam today to celebrate their club’s great day.

They aim to partake at the 15th anniversary of Simba Day which began to be celebrated in 2019.

Already, the venue has been overwhelmed as people of all ages wearing white and red jerseys are descending in large numbers.

The gates into the 60,000 capacity arena were officially opened at 8:00am in order to allow easy access into the stadium today.

Definitely, it is a lucrative day for small traders who sell various items like water, food, jerseys and others.

Also, transport operators ranging from Daladalas, Bajajs and Bodabodas are surely going to close today’s chapter with a big smile.

Again, those who run accommodation businesses have a good story to tell courtesy of Simba Day commemorations.

A number of activities have been lined up to colour the day whose epicenter will be a friendly match between Simba versus Power Dynamos of Zambia.
