REA touts new cook stove’s superiority at 8th Mining Exhibition

GEITA: THE Rural Energy Agency (REA) has revealed that the subsidized improved electric stoves being distributed are designed with modern technology and use significantly less charcoal compared to traditional charcoal stoves.

This information was shared by REA experts who are currently educating the public at the 8th National Mining Technology Exhibition taking place at the Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan grounds in Geita Region.

According to the experts, the improved cookstoves not only reduce charcoal consumption but also lower the emission of harmful carbon monoxide gas, thereby playing a significant role in protecting users from health risks associated with charcoal smoke.

In addition, the stoves are built with durable modern technology, making them long-lasting and easy to use for ordinary users.

The use of these stoves also contributes to environmental conservation by reducing deforestation caused by high demand for charcoal.

In Geita Region, the company responsible for distributing these subsidized cookstoves is Geita Millennium Star Company Limited.
