Raila Odinga: Tanzania joins Kenya in funeral of the former PM

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzanian government has extended its condolences to the government and people of Kenya following the bereavement in the family of opposition leader, Raila Odinga.
The message of sympathy was issued on behalf of Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was addressed to Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, as well as to the citizens of Kenya during this difficult time of mourning.

In addition, the Ministry offered special condolences to the family of Mr. Odinga, particularly to Mama Ida Odinga, stating that Tanzania stands in solidarity with them in grief and sorrow during this painful period.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to all members of Hon. Raila Odinga’s family, especially to Mama Ida Odinga, during this difficult time of mourning. Our deepest sympathies. May the Almighty grant the departed a peaceful journey,” read the statement from Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
