President Samia launches Kwala Logistics hub

KIBAHA, COAST REGION: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has officially inaugurated the Kwala International Logistics Centre, a strategic facility located in the Coast Region. Alongside the launch, she also inaugurated the Kwala Industrial Park and SGR freight services to Dodoma.

The momentous event marks a significant milestone in country’s infrastructure development journey and reflects the government’s commitment to transforming the country into a regional trade and transport hub.

Speaking at the inauguration, President Samia revealed that the government has allocated 330bn/- for the purchase of 1,430 freight wagons to boost cargo transportation via the SGR. This investment, she emphasized, is part of broader efforts to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of cargo transport across the country.
