Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi has appointed four officials to lead various departments.
A statement released by the Isles’ Chief Secretary, Zena Said on Tuesday stated that Dr Mwinyi appointed Mr Issa Suleiman Ali as the director of the operations and services department in the Ministry of Blue Economy and Fisheries.
Prior to the appointment, Mr Issa was acting at the same capacity.
Additionally, President Mwinyi appointed Dr Ali Said Nyanga as the director of Occupational Safety and Health Directorate, Mr Mohammed Jaffar Jumanne as the director of the operations and services department.
Prior to their appointments, Dr Ali was the director of prevention and health education in the Ministry of Health while Mr Mohammed was a senior officer at Zanzibar Business and Property Registration Agency.
According to the statement, President Mwinyi also appointed Dr Bill Mrima Kiwia as the commissioner of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in the President’s Office, WorkS, Economy and Investment and Doctor Abdulhamid Yahya Mzee has been appointed as the chairperson of Zanzibar Petroleum Development Company (ZPDC) Board in the ministry of Blue Economy and Fisheries.
The statement added that their appointments begin effectively from August 30, 2022.
