PMO receives high-tech equip for containing disaster damages
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has received 102m/- communication equipment which will be used to curb disaster in the country.
Receiving the equipment, donated by World Food Program (WFP), in Dodoma on Friday, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliamentary Affairs and Coordination), Ummy Nderiananga said the high-tech communication devices will enable the office to effectively carry out its coordination and control activities for various disasters.
“Regarding responsibilities facing the PMO, this equipment will give us the ability to capture informative pictures,” the Deputy said.
One of the equipment that was received by the deputy minister today was drones which she described as they; “will help in strengthening the Ministry’s communication through the internet, conducting search and rescue operations, obtaining maps of existing risks…,” Ms Ummy added.
