PM Majaliwa in Japan for World Expo 2025

DODOMA: Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has departed for Japan to represent President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the World Expo 2025, taking place in Osaka, Japan.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office shared via official social media channels, Majaliwa is also expected to participate in a business, investment, and tourism forum that will bring together key stakeholders and entrepreneurs from Tanzania and Japan.

In addition to attending the Expo and the forum, the Prime Minister will also engage in a series of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.

The World Expo 2025, which officially opened on April 13, is scheduled to run until October 13.

This marks the second time that Osaka, Japan, is hosting the global event, having last done so in 1970 during the historic EXPO 1
