PAET: Ubungo CNG supply service station back to normal

PanAfrican Energy Tanzania (PAET) has resolved a mechanical faulty in the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) supply at the Ubungo station in Dar es Salaam.

The gas production and supply company said in a statement in Dar es Salaam yesterday that after resolving the mechanical fault in the facility’s compression system normal service resumed on Wednesday evening.

The CNG is being supplied to several customers in Dar es Salaam, including numerous motorists who have converted their vehicles to run on the gas. Apart from supplying CNG to hundreds of motorists, PAET also supply to some industries and a hotel.

Through further expansion of the gas production and distribution infrastructure, the CNG project can continue to be a major contributor to a long term, economically and environmentally viable solution.

The CNG for use in cars, buses and trucks is a proven, safe and increasingly affordable compared to petrol and diesel whose prices have skyrocketed.  Drivers using CNG can save money and help protect our beautiful environment at the same time. CNG is a far more environmentally friendly fuel than petrol or diesel.
