Geita Gold target Simba scalp

GEITA Gold’s Head Coach Freddy Felix Minziro said his charges are ready for their tomorrow Premier League match against Simba at CCM Kirumba stadium in Mwanza.

Speaking during his team training at CCM Kirumba stadium on Friday, Minziro said all his players are well and fit for the match.

“We have come to Mwanza with 26 players and all of them are well and ready for the match. We really need to win this match so that we can fulfill our target of finishing at the top-four position at the end of this season,’’ he said.

Minziro said they are aware of the importance of the game since it is part of their campaign in achieving their goal of finishing among the best four teams this season.

He, however, admitted that the match will be very difficult because their opponents Simba are among the best teams in the league.

Adding, Minziro said they have made their players feel free to play by showing their skills.

He added that the technical bench believes all players who perform well in the training can play with much attention given to young players to let them display their football skills.

On his side Geita Gold custodian Aron Kalambo said they are ready for the match and the victory is very important because they want to be the best debutants at the end of the season.

In the ongoing Premier League, Geita Gold are placed fourth with 34 points after a 24-match outings.

The team has won nine, drawn seven and lost eight matches. They have netted 23 and conceded 24 goals.

Geita Gold next match they will play Tanzania Prisons at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

After Prisons, they will return to Nyankumbu Stadium to host Dodoma Jiji on June 13th this year.

They will have two away matches against Police Tanzania at Ushirika Stadium and Coastal Union at Mkwakwani stadium in Tanga.
