Kim reveals 28-man squad as Stars camp for AFCON 2023 qualifying matches

NATIONAL football team coach Kim Poulsen has revealed his 28-man squad as Taifa Stars starts training camp ahead of #Afcon2023 qualifying matches.

Stars players are set to travel to Niamey to face Niger National soccer team on 4th June, this year.

The two national teams were drawn into Group F which is made up with other sides namely Uganda ‘The Cranes’ and Algeria.

A press statement released by the Tanzania football governing body (TFF) on Friday said the Danish tactician has named players from both local and international leagues.

The 28 players named and their respective clubs are:- 

1.    Aishi Manula (Simba Sc)

2.    Metacha Mnata (Police Tanzania)

3.    Abutwalib Mshery (Young Africans)

4.    Shomari Kapombe (Simba Sc)

5.    Kibwana Shomari (Young Africans)

6.    Haji Mnoga (Weymouth-England)

7.    Disckson Job (Young Africans)

8.    Bakari Mwamnyeto (Young Africans)

9.    Kennedy Juma (Simba Sc)

10.  Abdallah Salum Kheri (Azam Fc)

11.  Mohammed Hussein (Simba Sc)

12.  Nickson Kibabage (Kmc Fc)

13.  Himid Mao (Ghazi El Mahalla Sc-Egypt)

14.  Novatus Dismas (Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Vam-Israel)
