Simba SC give Morison a break

Management of Simba Sports Club has agreed to give midfielder Bernard Morrison a break until the end of the season.

A statement issued by the Club’s Chief Executive Officer, Barbara Gonzalez on Friday stated that the club decided to give the break player ample time to deal with his personal issues.

She insisted that the decision to give the break to the Ghana international was reached based on mutual understanding between the two parties.

Ms Babra further thanked the player for his devotion to the club saying: “We recognize and appreciate Morison’s contribution of two years that he served in the club and helped us to achieve a number of successes including playing in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations, winning the Tanzania mainland Premier League, FA Cup and Mapinduzi Cup.”

On his side, Morrison posted on his verified Instagram account saying:

“It’s with a heavy heart to announce that I will be out for the remainder of the season due to family issues that are beyond my control and might affect my performance for the team if I represent the club.

“A lot needs to be said about it but I can only wish the club the best of luck in our remaining games. I hope and pray I get this resolved as soon as possible so that I can join the team back.”
