Finish off Red Arrows, restore club’s pride

SIMBA must finish off their CAF Confederation Cup opponents, Red Arrows whom they face in the return leg match in Zambia this Sunday.

Having a comfortable 3-0 lead doesn’t guarantee Simba an easy run to the event’s group stage, therefore Simba should go there knowing they are going to face a wounded bull, hence; Simba must take an extra caution against the Zambians.

We urge Simba; players and officials to use extra, extra commitment and shrewd planning if they seriously want to get good results this weekend.

We are forced to insist on those aspects as Simba were eliminated from the CAF Champions League’s group stage due to lack of seriousness in the match that looked simple to win.

Simba should go to Zambia knowing Red Arrows will this time around attack more than defending, therefore, we warn Simba not to fall prey to that as we know the attacking is the best of defending.

We would, therefore, advise Simba players to fire on all their cylinders and stop any leakage in their defence and make sure they open up in order to kill the game.

We insist our team to work hard and win since it pays well the country, the clubs and players who are engaged in the tough mission, since we have honoured to have two teams whose players are well drilled.

But to achieve that we urge them to work extremely hard to go through the next round given the kind of opponents they have, who are certainly no pushovers.

The importance of working hard on one’s pace lies in the fact that the standard of soccer in Africa is more or less the same from the south to the north and from the west to the east. Any team that is capable of playing at a very high pace for more than the regulated time is capable of winning matches both at home and away from home.

Work hard and clear the Zambian hurdle as Tanzanians long to see their envoys playing in the group stage again. While we insist on commitment, appropriate use of skills and fighting spirit are vital tools to success, we wish our envoys best luck.
