“ICT has a crucial role to play in building sustainable development in all aspects,” he said, noting that many youth have managed to improve their living standards through ICT.

On exploiting opportunities under ICT, Mr Majaliwa called on the youth to take advantage of the available economic empowerment funds, which offer a variety of loans especially to the youth, women and people with disability.

“You can also use the available resources including fertile land, rivers, lakes, ocean, minerals as well as technological development to engage in productive activities,” urged Mr Majaliwa.

In another development, the Premier urged the youth to visit the pavilion at the Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation for the sake of learning the legacy that the founding father left behind.

“The Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation was established purposely to document the memories of the founding father of our nation, his philosophy, patriotism and hard work will be remembered even by the future generations,” added the Prime Minister.
