POLISI TANZANIA FC shot stopper, Metacha Mnata said he sees a bright future in his team and promised to use every weapon in store to heighten the team’s status.
The Kilimanjaro-based Premier League side, Polisi Tanzania will launch their Premier League campaign against Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) on Tuesday at Ushirika stadium. Mnata promised to cooperate with his fellow players to ensure they achieve their desired goal which is to finish in the top-five position.
Speaking to ‘The Daily News’ Mnata, the former Young Africans, Tanzania Prisons and Mbao FC custodian, said he is confident his team will fight to get results as there are a good number of experienced and talented players.
Mnata has announced that he is ready to serve the team in the new Premier League season and also during the Azam sports federation matches. Metacha has joined the Police as a free agent after ending a two-year contract with historical champions Yanga.
He disclosed since joining the team he has had a good start and he wants to achieve more success with Polisi Tanzania.
"Thankfully since I joined the Police Tanzania I have been getting a lot of support from my teammates and officials who make me want to play for my team," Mnata said.
Metacha said one of his goals is to play professional football at the highest level as he did for the teams he passed to continue to be called up to the national team and get a chance to play professional football abroad.
After their match against KMC, Polisi Tanzania will play their second home match against Azam then they will travel to Dar-es-salaam to play against Simba SC at Mkapa stadium.
