TANZANIA Social Action Fund (TASAF) has received some 2.3tri/- from the government and different donors to implement its third phase.
The amount will be used in income generating activities with the aim of fighting poverty in poor households in the second session of the TASAF third phase.
TASAF’s Coordination Manager Ms Tunu Munthali, representing her Chief Executive Officer, said during a meeting with heads of departments of Mkuranga District Council that they will make sure that all the targeted families in this programme are reached as planned for better results. “In this phase, we are intending to reach out all the beneficiaries all over the country accurately,” she said recently.
TASAF urged Mkuranga local governments to supervise facilitators who will be identifying families which qualify in this programme in all 125 villages of the district.
Ms Tunu said a five-day training will be conducted to the facilitators to enable them conduct the task as intended also ward councilors and villages leaders should also fully involved in the whole process for better results.
Mkuranga District Commissioner Mr Filbeto Sanga said that the district authorities will give full support to the whole exercis
