VODACOM Tanzania has continued creating a digital society after launching new smartphones in the market.
Speaking in Dar es Sslaam on Tuesday, Vodacom Head of Sales and Distribution George Lugata said to achieve Vodacom’s vision of digitising Tanzania they must ensure customers had access to internet and communications services without any hindrance of affordability or quality.
“In order for Tanzanians not to be behind in the growth of technology, we need fast and reliable internet services every day and on every smartphone we launch, as a result we decided to offer free GBs to all those who will purchase these devices,” he detailed.
With this initiative, Vodacom continues spearheading its ambitions of creating a digital society by giving free GBs to anyone who purchases the newly launched smartphones in the market as the company aims at increasing penetration of smart devices that enable access to digital platforms.
Vodacom Tanzania, Itel and Tecno have been partners for a long time since the launch of smartphone devices in the country. These companies have been working together to revolutionise the telecommunications industry in the country.
Tecno Public Relations Manager Eric Mkomoya said the launch of ‘Huku Slopu Tu” campaign aimed at ensuring Vodacom customers continued communicating, making payments and engaging digital services with ease and at affordable prices.
