Finally, Amber Rutty bailed out

PASTOR Daudi Mashimo yesterday showed up at Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court in Dar es Salaam to bail out Video Vixen Rutfia Abubakari, alias Amber Rutty and her alleged concubine Said Matopari, alias Davil, who are facing four pornographic related offences.

The two, who are charged with unnatural offence and publishing or causing to publish a pornographic video through computer system alongside James Mpali, alias James Delicious, have been in remand since their arraignment on November 2, 2018.

Senior Resident Magistrate Augustine Rwizile, who is hearing the case, had granted them bail on conditions of signing bond of 15m/- with two reliable sureties, who were also required similar amount of the bond.

The magistrate had ordered each surety to present in court an identification letter and a national identity card. Every accused was also ordered to surrender in court travel documents, if any. Only Delicious met the conditions, forcing Amber Rutty and Devil to go to remand.

A good deal came in yesterday after a long struggle of getting sureties wherein Pastor Mashimo, alias Komandoo wa Yesu from Emmaus Bible Church of Mbezi Luis, showed up to save the day with three others, Salma Omary, Hashim Mohamed and Francis Chacha, who volunteered to bail out the accused.

Immediately after adjournment of the proceedings to December 10, 2018, the “Man of God” held up Amber Rutty and walked hurriedly to leave the court premises to unknown place. Earlier, the prosecution had informed the court that they were still conducting investigations into the matter.

The prosecution alleges that on or about October 25, 2018, in the city, Amber Rutty allegedly permitted Mtopari to have carnal knowledge of her against the order of nature.
